This is not a lecture about tidying — we know homes are lived in. But when someone books a deep clean or a first visit with us, a bit of preparation means the crew spends time on scrubbing rather than moving laundry baskets.
Clear surfaces you want cleaned
Kitchen worktops and bathroom shelves need space for cloths and products. You do not need to empty every cupboard — tell us if you want inside units done and we will work around contents. For ovens and fridges, empty them the night before if those are on the list.
Pets and access
Most of our cleaners are fine with pets in the house if they are introduced calmly. Secure dogs that are nervous around strangers, and let us know about cats that might slip out when the door opens. Leave a contact number in case we need to reach you about parking or alarm codes.
Parking in Huddersfield and nearby towns
Terraced streets around Primrose Hill and similar areas can be tight. If you have a permit zone or a shared drive, mention it when booking. A saved space or a temporary permit saves twenty minutes at the start of the visit.
Write down priorities
If you only have three hours, rank the rooms. Most people put kitchen and bathrooms first, then living areas, then bedrooms. We would rather do two rooms properly than rush through five.
- Note any delicate surfaces — marble, untreated wood, antique rugs
- Point out stains you have already tried to shift
- Say if you prefer eco products or have allergy concerns
First visits often turn into regular fortnightly slots once people see how much time they get back. The prep is the same either way.
